MoneyButton is a free beta. No prizes are currently offered or awarded.
Nothing on this site can be purchased. We do not take payment and never ask for card details. Prize tiers shown in the interface display $0 and are a preview of a future feature.
These terms are an agreement between you and [SPONSOR ENTITY] ("we", "us") covering your use of the MoneyButton website. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- One account per person. Creating more than one is the one thing that genuinely breaks the game for everyone else, and accounts we believe are duplicates may be removed.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
When prizes launch, eligibility will be narrower — 18 or over and resident in the United States — and will be governed by Official Rules published at that time.
How the game works
- Each 24-hour cycle runs from 00:00 to 23:59 UTC.
- You may press the button once per account per cycle. This is enforced by the database, not by the interface.
- Each account is assigned its own winning moment for the cycle. It is derived cryptographically from a daily secret and your account ID, and it is fixed before the cycle opens. We publish a hash of the secret while the cycle is running and the secret itself afterwards, so you can check that nothing moved.
- Your press time is recorded by our server at the moment your press is received. Network delay is part of the game and we do not adjust for it.
- Once per cycle you may unlock a hint narrowing your moment to a six-hour window.
Fair play
Please do not:
- use bots, scripts, or automation to press the button;
- create multiple accounts, or use someone else's;
- attempt to interfere with, overload, or reverse-engineer the service in order to gain an advantage;
- attempt to access other players' data.
We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things. During the beta there is no prize at stake, so this is about keeping the leaderboard meaningful rather than about money.
Reading the published day secret after a cycle closes and recomputing your own moment is explicitly encouraged — that is what it is published for.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising. Ads are supplied by third parties and we do not control or endorse what they show. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalised ads.
Availability
This is a beta. The site may be unavailable, may lose data, may change, and may stop entirely. We may reset accounts, streaks or leaderboards during the beta if we need to. We will avoid it where we can, and we will not pretend it did not happen.
If the site is down when you meant to press, you miss that cycle. We cannot retroactively grant presses without breaking the one-press-per-cycle guarantee that makes the game fair.
Your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. We may close the beta and all accounts with reasonable notice on the site.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the leaderboard, streak, or any statistic is free of mistakes. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Because the beta is free and awards no prizes, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use MoneyButton after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
